Here's a compilation I made of every major modem standard used in North America (Bell 103, V.22(bis), V.32(bis), V.34, V.90, and V.92), corresponding to 300 bps, 2400 bps, 14.4K, 33.6K, and 56K. Those of you who actually used the older (pre-V.34) standards might notice some slight differences in the sounds (with respect to timing) - this is because these were all made with a ~2005 embedded Conexant V.92 laptop softmodem. Using the AT+MS command, the modem can be forced to use older modulations,...

Turn of Century generic, Non-Electric, sewing machine manual. Here is an interesting 'find.' There is no brand name noted nor Company Information, nor approx. date of publication. The machine is very similar to the old pedal operated Singer sewing machines that came out around the end of the 19th century. If anyone has any information to add about this machine, or booklet, please leave a post below. I would like to know more about the origin of.

From Wikipedia: COMPUTE!'s Gazette (ISSN 0737-3716) was a computer magazine of the 1980s, directed at users of Commodore's 8-bit home computers. Publishing its first issue in July 1983, the Gazette was a Commodore-only daughter magazine of the computer hobbyist magazine COMPUTE!. An example of MLX type-in program code as printed in COMPUTE!'s Gazette. COMPUTE!'s Gazette contained both standard articles and type-in programs. Many of these programs were quite sophisticated and lengthy. To assist...

From Wikipedia: Compute! (ISSN 0194-357X) was an American computer magazine that was published from 1979 to 1994, though it can trace its origin to 1978 in Len Lindsay's PET Gazette, one of the first magazines for the Commodore PET computer. In its 1980s heyday Compute! covered all major platforms, and several single-platform spinoffs of the magazine were launched. The most successful of these was Compute!'s Gazette, catering to Commodore computer users. The magazine's original goal was to...

a trial or 1st mixing of the tracks for something I've been playing around with (since I was a child, supposedly). this was inspired by Philip Glass, Terry Riley and I'm indepted to my Mom for the digital piano and my Dad for the laptop that's running Gentoo Linux for recording and mixing. the tracks are several voices -- piano, strings, organ -- on a Yamaha mixed in stereo to separate treble and bass. flac encodes the last measure @ ~2000kbps (and the wav version drops off at 1400kbps) so a...
